About this product

A weighted blanket gives steady, even pressure across the body, which many people find calming when winding down or going to sleep. The soft cotton cover is stitched into small quilted pockets of glass micro beads, so the weight stays spread out instead of slipping to one side. Choose by weight: no more than about 10% of the body weight of the person using it, and if you are between sizes, choose the lighter one. It comes with a zip-up bag for storing it or taking it away. Safety and age

Not for babies or toddlers. Choose a blanket no heavier than about 10% of the user’s body weight: the 4 kg suits people from about 40 kg, the 6 kg from about 60 kg and the 8 kg from about 80 kg. The person using it must be able to lift it off on their own, and it should never cover the face. Children should use it to wind down with an adult nearby rather than all night, unless their therapist advises otherwise. If you have breathing, circulation or temperature problems, check with your GP first.
